Aquatic Management
In general man-made or recreated water bodies suffer degredation due to the build up of excess nutrients and organic materials, resulting in algae blooms,
clogged lakes, fish kills and offensive odours.
Natures defence to these processes is oxydation, enzyme digestion and microbial consumption of the offending compounds. The key therefore to a successful
aquatic management program is to enhance these conditions by adding aeration, microbial dosing, biofiltration and/or apply additional techniques.
Subsurface Aeration
Subsurface aeration greatly improves water quality by increasing dissolved oxygen levels, destratifying the water column and improving circulation. Aeration is known to reduce algae growth; reverse ageing and degradation; improve clarity; increase fish growth and reduce the buildup of pollutants.
Beneficial Microbes
Beneficial microbes improve water quality and clarity by actively consuming excess nutrients, organic particulates and pond sludge. They also eliminate offensive odours.
Bio Filtration
Aquamats provide habitat and enhance biofiltration in lakes and ponds. They encourage the growth of naturally occurring microbes, invertebrates and other beneficial organisms.
Sonic algae control
A new way to control algae by emitting specific frequencies of ultra-sound which rips the algal internals and kills them.
