Beneficial Microbes

Pre-selected, cultivated and naturally occurring

Aquatron^TM and Waste and Sludge Reducer^TM are a blend of naturally occurring beneficial microbes and bionutrient complex for use in lakes, ponds, dams and aquaculture environments. They are formulated to control sludge, NH₃, NO₂, NO₃, TSS and BOD.

Aquatron^TM and WSR^TM are designed to control excess organic sludge and to reduce nutrient levels through accelerated microbial decomposition of organic wastes.

WSR/Aquatron has been formulated with scientifically selected microbes that can break down and utilize materials which are undesirable by-products in aquaculture systems and natural water bodies. The accumulated material can reduce the effective volume of the system, and increase the level of suspended solids. Bacteria can utilise this organic sludge as a food source and in practise can reduce net solids by up to 60% or more.

How do microbes work

The naturally occurring microbes are selected for their ablility to target Phosphorus, Ammonia, Nitrites, Nitrate and organic solids. By reducing the source of all nutrient inputs through microbial action, water quality and clarity will improve. The microbes can out-compete other sources for nutrients and will thus markedly reduce eutrophication.

Each class of beneficial microbes has been designed to perform a specific task in maintaining optimum water quality. Each product contains numerous species of beneficial microbes and fungi that are known to target specific pollutants associated with problem waterbodies.
