Sterilization Mechanism of TiO2 Photocatalyst
Titanium dioxide itself has no toxicity to microbe or cells. The sterilization mechanism only kicks in after exposure to UV light. When this happens, the very strong oxidizing power of titanium dioxide can destroy the bacteria’s cell wall and membrane, and reacts with cell components, which inhibits the bacteria’s activity and ultimately results in its death and decomposition.

It thorougly decomposes bacteria & viruses and has a stable effect on killing new variations of the bacteria.
